Sorry I have not written in a while I have been very busy lately. I promise I am working on a lot of new things and I also have one other blog to work on as well. I do see that I have two subscribers to my posts so I am going to continue my blog. I was going to cancel it but thank you whomever you are for reading and subscribing to my posts . I promise I will try to work harder on this blog and hope to keep you happy. I do have a few products I would like to share with you and an update about my sister in laws status. She started out very motivated but lost it so I think I am going to share some tips today on staying motivated to keep or if you haven't started yet to start your weight loss plan.

Here we go:
1. Take pictures of the food you eat!
Yes, that's right. This may sound silly but it actually works! Its a pain in the butt to write everything down and it just gets annoying. Now, think about what you always carry with you everywhere you go. Your phone! Right, if you have a camera phone simply take a picture of anything you are about to eat and pus save and put it away and enjoy your food. If anyone asks simply tell them what you are doing or tell them you have to write something and you need pictures of food for it. At the end of the day. Write it down in your food journal and delete the pictures. Or do it by the week and write it down then. Either way works great!

2.Don't tell everyone what you are doing!
I finally figured out that I was only sabotaging myself when I told others I was going on a diet. I put and had so much pressure on myself that I ended up getting overwhelmed with being "perfect" eating in front of others and couldn't even concentrate on the fact that I wasn't paying attention to the most important part of the equation which was me!

3.Don't try to eat the "perfect" foods every time you eat!
I know this is what the "dieting" community does every time they go on a "diet". The word diet is simply what you are eating not how "perfect" you are eating. So don't sabotage yourself before you even begin. Think of a diet as steps, literally the steps you use to go up with. You have to take them one at a time , maybe even two at a time but if you try to take three at a time and your going quicker and quicker with each step you are going to stumble and lose your balance. You may even fall over. You don't want to fall over or "fail". So take your time and work on your eating habits. These habits are practice for your body. That is how you are going to get to the top of the steps is with practice.

That is all I have for now. Please feel free to comment. Thanks so much and stay positive!

My 10 tips for effective weight loss!

1. Get 8 hours of sleep!

First off let me say the best way and sure way to weight loss is GET ENOUGH REST!
Your body does not burn calories and fat the with the same efficiency as if you had gotten your sleep and rest the night before and will actually cause you to gain weight.

2.Work daily on changing your habits.
Your habits will always bring down the most determined dieter. I have learned after dieting and failing for 10 years at dieting if you don't change your eating habits your chances of losing the weight and keeping it off for any significant period of time will drop dramatically. You HAVE and I mean you have, have to work on this. Even if you just tell yourself to drink that cup of water with your meals and remind yourself of this at every meal. You can still have that glass of juice just sit down and write out what habits are hindering your weight loss.

3.Cut down on your sugar.
Sugar is your best friend and your worst enemy let me tell you. I know the more you eat/drink of high sugar food items. The quicker your going to gain weight. It took me so long to realize that this is always true especially if you have a more sedentary lifestyle. If your going to have a candy bar or that bowl of ice cream make it small or even better set expectations on how many scoops you want this week. The week after cut it down to one less scoop or half a scoop less. You will be on your way to weight loss and taking better control of your eating habits at the same time.

4. Drink water.
You don't even have to drink the full eight glasses of eight ounces a day! Start off by drinking one glass or even half a glass(if you hardly ever drink water)of water a day. First off hydration will make you feel better and more clear headed. I know it works for me. It keeps your skin clear! BIG bonus right there. It also makes your liver and every other body system work easier and better.

5. Cut down on juices and soda pop.
Ughh! This one was definately the hardest for me to do but it gets the best results for weight loss. Of course! I just started slowly mixing water into my juice until I now will only drink half water and juice or 3/4 cup water and 1/4 cup juice. Im not saying you need to do this but any little bit helps. Remember what I said before about habits. Just start out slowly doing this and you will be on your way.

6.Find a fun way to excercise.
I recently just found a game for my Wii called "Just Dance". It really gets me moving and its fun. Try to weekly find something different to do. NEVER keep doing the same old boring routine. If its repetitive you won't stay motivated and will probably lose interest in your weight loss plan as well. I have noticed these two things go hand in hand for some reason. Activley look for fresh, new ideas for your excercise routine.

7.Try eating a "side" portion for 6 small meals a day.
This truly does work and its healthier for your digestive system. Eating smaller portions is better for digestion. Meaning you won't have as many problems with the end parts of the digestive sytem (if you know what I mean) it keeps your cells from being flooded with too much at one time whether it be too much sugar, salt, etc. If you just can't bring yourself to do this cut down on the portion sizes by a forkful or two until you are eating portions that are close to your fist size.

8.Take the stairs instead.
Taking the stairs over the elevator might be more work but it gets you to your goal that much quicker. Think of it as steps to get to your dream weight. When you get there congratulate yourself. You will see the difference soon enough.

9.Don't feel like your missing out.
When there is an event you are going to and you know there is going to be lots of goodies there. Go ahead and have that slice of cake but make it small and don't feel that you "deserve" a big piece of it because you have been good this week. This is the one mistake all us dieters make and is what makes it all go downhill. Know that you need to have that smaller portion because you are trying to achieve something and you are getting there quicker by doing just this.

10.Do NOT beat yourself up for "mistakes."
Please don't make yourself feel bad if you "mess up" just remember to do better and know that you can and will change your "habit" the next time around. If we all quit every time we messed up we would never get anywhere. Dieting the right way isn't about being perfect its about learning from our mistakes and correcting the next time around.

Get more sleep!

Did you know just by getting more sleep you can lose and keep the weight off! Yes, of course the more you sleep the less calories you burn BUT.... without adequate sleep your body(while awake) cannot efficiently burn fat as if you had gotten your full eight to nine hours of sleep. If you cannot achieve this try to take even one or two small naps during the day or go to bed earlier....not as easy as it sounds but it helps.

So my Sister-in-Law is going on a diet....

And she wants me to help her. She is doing the Atkins diet and is doing well. I told her to keep a journal and write down everything she eats and what excercises she is doing also. I will be keeping track of her progress on my blog. I will try to write something on her progress every two to three days. Please come back and see how she is doing!

Also....pic to come on a weekly basis.

tips and tricks of the healthy "dieter"

Drink WATER! (there is no way around it, trust me I hated it but try this: start pouring your cup 3/4 full of juice for a week, then the next do half way full water halfway juice and so on...soon you wont even want or crave that much juice and you will have limited your calories and sugar consumption just by doing something as simple as that!)

great product to use for weight loss...

I know many of you already know but just in case you forgot...pedometers are a great way to easily track and see how many steps you take in a day. I think its something like every 5,000
steps to lose a pound of fat. Just keep track of that and you will see a difference real quick. I think I might buy one myself just to see what happens with it.

You can get one for your ankle or a pocket one like the one above.
